St Peter's College's annual Multi-Cultural Awareness Week was a great success last week, topped off by an impressive team presentation to our 2nd Year students by two speakers of African descent.
Raphael, from Togo, and Fionnuala, who is Irish / Liberian, spoke about their experiences of living, studying and working in Ireland. They talked also about their encounters with racism on their home continent as well as in this country. Raphael performed some of his powerful music, which reflects his experiences of being an African man living in Ireland.
Thanks to the SWT team for making this warm, enjoyable and informative event possible.
