Letter for Parents re Mock Interviews 2024 – 2025

Dear Parent,

The Parents Association are delighted that your son/daughter has taken the opportunity to participate in a Mock Interview on Monday 25th November 2024. Their individual interview time will be emailed on Wednesday 20th November. There will be three slots A: 19:30-20:00, B: 20:00-20:30 and C: 20:30-21:00. You are invited into the school for a refreshment while you wait for your son/daughter.

Prior to the mock interview Mr McCarthy and Ms Collins will meet with the group participating in the Mock Interviews to assist with the preparation of a Curriculum Vitae CV or Career Investigation for the interview. The interviewers will reference the CV or Career Investigation during the interview. There will be two or three interviewers, who will share out the questions.

Please reassure your son/daughter that the mock interview is not a test, it is an opportunity for them to practice their communication skills.

A detailed letter has issued to your son/daughter, outlining the types of questions that will be asked during the Mock Interview. Encourage your son/daughter to consider all the areas of their lives that they can demonstrate their skills from in their home, to school, to extra-curricular and to part-time jobs.

Students can wear their school uniform to the interview or may choose to dress smart casual but there is no need to purchase any specific clothing.
